PIANO, Multimedia tutorials, Accompaniments, How 2 Play Piano
A selection of accompaniments in the purest of boogie-woogie styles! With the same harmonic origins as blues, the boogie-woogie sets itself apart by a faster tempo and especially a left hand unimpairedly playing broken octave basslines. This ostinato can be ternary or binary but is always fast. The boogie-woogie, a style of dance music, influences rock 'n' roll pianists and even flirts with jazz big-bands. This course provides ten complete boogie-woogie rhythms with their corresponding recordings and just as many “made-to-measure” backing tracks which you can use to play along to – as though you actually were in a band!
