Horizontal Playing

Horizontal playing, as opposed to vertical, consists in fully exploiting a chord or similar group of chords in order to promote the homogeneity of the sound. By abstaining from frequently changing chords, you avoid the differences in tone color that characterize them. This approach, highly valued by the majority of great guitarists of all styles, affords a more global vision of the neck. This course offers you a video demonstration of this technique (on the major scale), 3 technical exercises (on arpeggios in 3 and 4 tones and the pentatonic scale) with the corresponding recordings, as well as 7 licks to be played along to as many different backing tracks.
