Chord inversions are a vital aid for pianists: they enable them to play chord sequences without unnecessary movement along the keyboard. Inverting a chord involves raising the tone of the first note by an octave, so the chord is the same but with its notes in a different order. Three-tone chords have only two different inversions; however this is enough to always have the right notes handy. This course provides a video demonstration example, two technical exercises with their corresponding recordings, as well as eight accompaniments you can play along to backing tracks.
