A dominant 7th arpeggio (7) consists of a root/tonic, a major third, a perfect fifth and a minor seventh. As with the seven musical applications, you can transpose its five diagrams (presented here in C) into any other key. In very different contexts, such as rock, pop, heavy metal or jazz, dominant 7th arpeggios are the ideal melodic tool for improvising on major and dominant 7th chords. This course provides a video of the five positions of the dominant 7th arpeggio, three technical exercises with their corresponding recordings to get accustomed to them, and seven licks for putting them into practice by playing them along to backing tracks.
