A major 7th arpeggio (M7) consists of a root/tonic, a major third, a perfect fifth and a major seventh. As with the seven musical applications, you can transpose its five diagrams (presented here in C) into any other key. In very different contexts, such as rock, pop, heavy metal or jazz, major 7th arpeggios are the ideal melodic tool for improvising on major and major 7th chords. This course provides a video of the five positions of the major 7th arpeggio, three technical exercises with their corresponding recordings to get accustomed to them, and seven licks for putting them into practice by playing them along to backing tracks.
