A major triad (a three-note arpeggio) consists of a root/tonic, a major third and a perfect fifth. If you transpose it into a different key, the tonic (white circle on the three positions offered) will be your point of reference. Major triads are the ideal melodic tool for comping (accompanying) major chords on the bass guitar. This course provides a video demonstration example and a technical exercise with its corresponding recording, as well as nine grooves and basslines you can play along to backing tracks.
