Playing Octaves

In all styles of music and accompaniment, the left hand in particular is used for playing octaves, which requires extensive use of the thumb and little finger. The right hand also plays its part: it plays roughly the same motifs – especially during improvisations and solos. It is imperative that you master this playing technique.
