Playing Sixteenth Notes

An important aspect of playing bass is learning to handle sixteenth notes. They enable you to divide the beat into 4 equal parts (as four sixteenth notes make up a quarter note) and by doing so all kinds of rhythmic combinations and fantasies can be achieved. If you practice them, as in this course, in a linear way, they will allow you to play fast bass runs or swift-paced baselines. This course provides a video demonstration example and a technical exercise with its corresponding recording, as well as nine grooves and basslines you can play along to backing tracks.
