Reggae & Ska Grooves

This assortment of reggae and ska drum grooves is inspired by some of the world’s greatest artists, such as Bob Marley, Ernest Ranglin, The Skatalites, and many more. It will allow you to practice binary and ternary, slow and fast reggae, but also straight ska pieces. Syncopated rimshots and cymbal strokes, which are setting the accents, support the guitar and keyboard afterbeat, while the swinging hi-hat (or ride cymbal) lines make the whole thing groove. This course places ten reggae and ska drum grooves and the appropriate breaks with their corresponding recordings at your disposal along with just as many “made-to-measure” backing tracks that you can use to play along to – as though you were in a band!
