For repeating the same note you need a special technique and a certain fingering. By using a different finger for each repetitive note you will be able to stick to the rhythm more precisely, to bring flexibility into your phrasing and increase your tempo. Depending on the motif to be performed, the fingering sequence will incorporate either the first two, three or four fingers. It is imperative to master this technique – for improvising with the right hand, as well as for shaping the rhythm with the left hand. This course provides a video demonstration example, two technical exercises with their corresponding recordings, as well as eight accompaniments you can play along to backing tracks.
