Rhythmic Single-Note-Figures

What we have here are the famous essentially melodic rhythm grooves generally found in soul and funk music. To achieve that specific single-note-sound, you will have to cope with sound muting and silences, and master (rhythmic) splitting/subdividing into eighth and sixteenth notes. Then finally you will be able to play in the style of outstanding artists like James Brown, Prince, Parliament, or The Meters. This course offers you a sample video of this playing technique, three technical exercises with their corresponding recordings, and seven rhythms to be played along to just as many different backing tracks.
