Rock Grooves

This assortment of rock drum grooves offers you the possibility to explore the entire evolution of rock drumming – from classic rock, to pop rock, to the rock of the 70s and 80s, to contemporary rock. In most grooves, drum lines are played in a straight manner. Nevertheless, they should be played as energetically as the style traditionally requires. Eighth and sixteenth notes are played on the mostly closed hi-hat, in alternation with the ride cymbal. In the passages meant to sustain the listeners’ attention, well-placed open hi-hats and striking crash cymbals are more than appropriate. This course places ten rock drum grooves and the appropriate breaks with their corresponding recordings at your disposal along with just as many “made-to-measure” backing tracks that you can use to play along to – as though you were in a band!
