Slapping & Dead Notes

Dead notes can be combined remarkably well with slapping: they reinforce the percussive and energizing effect of this technique. They can be achieved either by releasing finger pressure on the strings, or by touching the strings lightly, without pressing, with your left hand fingers. This course provides a video demonstration example and two technical exercises with their corresponding recordings, as well as eight grooves and basslines you can play along to backing tracks.
